Sweden DT Series Copper Bimetal Cable Lug for Electrical Terminal Connector
Category:
Product Description
Copper Bimetal Cable Lugs are mostly useful where an aluminum cable has to be terminated by a copper bus bar or copper contact. If Cable Lugs of only copper or aluminum are used , a galvanic action occurs due to dissimilar contact. The use of bimetallic lugs thus ensures a technically sound and durable joint. The Aluminum barrel is friction welded to the copper palm thereby achieving the best possible transition between barrel & palm.
Key Features & Benefits:
-
Zero-Compromise Conductivity: Fabricated from 99.99% C11000 electrolytic copper (IEC 60228 compliant), delivering >98% IACS conductivity to minimize heat buildup and energy loss.
-
Ultra-Low Contact Resistance: CNC-machined contact surfaces with silver or tin plating (optional) reduce resistance to ≤5μΩ – preventing hotspots in 0–40kA applications.
-
Vibration-Proof Security: Serrated bolt holes and anti-slip teeth maintain torque integrity under continuous mechanical stress (certified to IEEE 386).
-
Corrosion Defense: Triple-layer plating options (tin/nickel/silver) withstand humidity, H₂S, and salt spray per ISO 9227.
-
Flame-Retardant Safety: UL94 V-0 rated insulation sleeves (optional) prevent arc flashes in crowded panels.
